Jokipiin Pellava 1920 - today
In 2010, we celebrated the 90 years of business in Laurila family during normal working hours.

During the year, we arranged various  theme days for factory outlet customers, for example on Pancake Tuesday we had a special sale day, open doors in the spring, clearance week in June, Linen and Soup day in October.

Staff and customers
We employ ca. 20 people and our turnover is ca. 2 million Euros. Our customers include retailers and wholesalers, companies and organisations purchasing business gifts, institutions, hospitals, health centres and laundries. Web shop, network of retailers and factory outlet in Jokipii, Jalasjärvi serve consumers. In our procedures we emphasise flexibility that allows us to manufacture small series according to customer wishes and enables us to deliver products quickly.

Product range
We produce various products such as bath towels, wrap towels, bath robes, wash products and sauna seat covers ecologically by weaving and sowing.   Our furnishing fabric collection consists of table cloths and napkins, table runners,  all-round and dish towels, aprons and pot holders. We also manufacture special fabrics for institutions such as industrial towels and cotton single-use sheets for hospital use.

Third generation – yarn as a raw material
An essential part of our company’s present and future is actively operating third generation, specialising in linen, weaving and sowing it to make finished products, as well as finding new ways of using linen.

As our raw material we use linen yarn manufactured in Western Europe (Italy, Germany, and France). In Finland, the cultivation and continuation refinement of linen has been downgrading again since the temporary revival in the 1990s.
